S D , the daughter of Thomas and Lilly (Troupei Cuts forth The family moved to Oregon in Its*) and she taught school in the Heppner area for a time prior to her marriage to Charles H Pointer m 1910 The couple lived on a ranch north of Lexington Pointer died In 1918 and in 1922 Mrs Pointer moved with their children to Salem She lived in the Salem, Corvallis area, with a brief lime back in Morrow County, until 1980 when she returned lo Morrow County Mrs Pointer was active in politics and proud of the fact that she had voted in every election since women were allowed lo vote She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Corvallis, la-xmglon Grange.a charter mem tier of the Holly Kehekah l-odge 139. and active in the Business and Professional Womens Club in Cor vallis and Uir league of Women Voters She is survived by a daughter. Harriet Hatty. Heppner. sons Geor ge Pointer. Koseburg, and Fred Pointer. Hemet, California, a sister. Dora Hrosius, Lakeview and bro thers, Orville Cutsforth, Heppner and Dale Cutsforth. Kirkland.
