Traditionally during Labor Day. our roadways experience one of the highest traffic flows during the year. Py following a few simple rules, drivers could reduce automobile ac cidents which result In injury and death, Drago said. According to the sheriff, when an emergency occurs, there is pressure to think quickly and react immedia tely. To help the conscientious driver prepare before a haz ardous situation occurs, the following is suggested: If your brakes fail, pump the brake pedal quickly. If this does not slow or stop the car, apply the parking brake. If you still cannot stop, shift into a lower gear and pull as far over to the side of the rond as vou safelv can. Opi union r jffc" ' Question: "How do you feel this year's Morrow County Fair and Rodeo compares with previous years?" "The rodeo was better. There were more people there and more contestants at the open show," said Marcla Kemp, Lexington, 'The fair attendance was up I was bo upset I missed Helen Cornelius."
