Thursday's market.
MARKET TREND: We had an active market with a good
run of feeder cattle offered. Prices were steady to strong.
II Cows were $1.00 - $2.00 stronger with a few young cows
bringing up to 49.25. Horses were also several dollars
stronger, however, this may not indicate a market trend, but
rather competion between buyers for this particular sale.
NEXT SALE: Thursday, August 4th, which will have a
good run of dry cows. Sales will now be held every Thursday.
August U's sale will feature a good run on weaned calves,
with over 500 head already consigned. These are green
calves, mostly cross breds of choice quality.

Thanks

Dear Friends;
What a blessing it is to live
in Heppner and when sickness
strikes find out how many
good, loyal, generous, caring
people there are here.
It's hard to find adequate
words in the dictionary to
express our gratitude. Words
alone cannot say how much all
your flowers, cards, letters,
calls, good wishes, food treats
and prayers have meant to us.
All these kindnesses have
helped us to face the illness.
Last but not least by all
means; what a great surprise
from one of our trips from
Walla Walla to find a pick up
load of wood added to our
wood pile. Before long here
came Paul Heinrichs with the
second load of split wood.
The shocker was last week
to look out and see six pickup
loads of wood drive in all at
once. For this wonderful
gesture by caring friends -Marg,
Bill Kenny, Pat, Jimmy
Prock, Jon Prock. Fay Prock,
Matt Hughes. Bert Corbin,
Stanley Cox and Pat O'Brien
and any one else who helped
cut in the mountains we
extend our most heartfelt
thanks to all. Certainly the
magnitude of such kindness is
hard to comprehend. May God
bless all of you.
