A late entry on August 23
stated Bridgette Dawn Walker
of Boardman reported finding
her house and garage open
and her two dogs dead in the
garage. A Morrow Co,
Sheriff's deputy took the
report.
On August 30, the Boardman
Police Department arrested
and lodged Donald William
Bozarth, 48, of Boardman. for
allegedly Driving Under the
Influence of Intoxicants.
On August 31. a Pioneer
Memorial Hospital ambulance
responded to a call at Kinzua
Corporation's planing mill.
On September 1, Jerald Rea
of Rea ranch off Bombing
Range Road, reported the
theft of 140 bales of alfalfa
hay.
On September 4. James
Sharp. 15. of Portland,
drowned at the Boardman
Marina. Several unsuccessful
attempts to locate and recover
him were made by Sgt. Bill
Hudson of the Boardman Po
lice Department. His body
was later recovered by Uma
tilla diver Bob Vance.
Also on September 4. a one
vehicle, non-injury accident
occurred about 4:05 p.m. at
milepost 41 on Highway 74.
Driver of the vehicle was
Diana M. Epping. 17, of Lex
ington. A Morrow County
sheriffs deputy handled the
accident.
In a third September 4 inci
dent, the Heppner Fire De
partment responded to a fire
at the Tanory ranch, five
miles up Willow Creek from
Heppner at 10:19 pm.
On September 5, a grass fire
was reported at 12:54 p.m. at
317 Boardman Ave., Board
man. Boardman fire units
responded.

Keith Tompkins, 19, of Irri
gon. was arrested by the
