Parade entry info A favorite event during Fair & Rodeo, the Main Street Parade, gets underway Satur day, Aug. 28 beginning at 10 a.m. Those wishing to enter the parade may do so by using the entry form in this week's paper. Theme for the parade is "Harvest Thru the Ages." All entries will be staged at 8 a.m. at the west side of the grain elevators by Green Feed Store at the north end of Heppner. Beth Forrar placed first in the 50 M breast stroke, third in the backstroke event, fourth in the butterfly and swam an A time in the 50 M freestyle. Shelly Biddle swam to a second place finish in the 50 M backstroke and swam A time in the 50 M butterfly. Cliff Lucas took second in the breast stroke, first in the backstroke, fourth in the butterfly and swam A time in the 50 M freestyle at the boys 13-14 level. Others members of the team competing at the meet were Tammy Bruch, Mary Connor, Michelle Cameron, A. J. Tamasky and Shanna Holt. The Heppner Swim Team competed at a district meet at Pendleton, on Aug . 7 and 8 and came out fifth with 171 points, announced Tim Birkby, swim team coach. Both A and B meets were held concurrently. Heppner's team participated in the B meet. Heppner swimmers placing st the meet were; Charlie Rathbun - first in the 5(i M breast stroke in the eight and under division. Amy Greenup - first in the 50 M freestyle. Gina Graser -seventh in the 50 M freestyle and first in the 50 M back stroke. D.J. Palmer - first in the M M butterfly and swam A time in the 50 M breast stroke, and Kerry Bruch -swam A time in the 50 M butterfly in the girls nine and 10 year-old group. In the boys nine and 10 division. Eric Connor took second in the 50 M freestyle, seventh in the 50 M backstroke and swam A time in both the breast stroke and butterfly and Shane Palmer won seventh in the 50 M breast stroke and fourth place in the backstroke.
