It's a shame
To the editor:
Heppner High School had
six top young people compet
ing at the National High
School Rodeo Finals last week
in Douglas, Wyoming. These
kids were competing against
at least 1,200 of the very best
cowboys and cowgirls from
the United States and Canada.
They have all represented
Oregon very well and placed
high at the national level.
It's a shame that your paper
missed out on a good news
worthy story about the ac
complishments of these kids
prior to their going to Douglas.
So many local people were not
even aware of who had even
qualified to go.
