The lone thinclads traveled

Invitational track meet. The
Cardinal boys finished third
for the second straight week,
l-ist Tuesday's meet was
canceled because of poor
weather, so this was only the
Cards' second competition of
the season.
Several personal bests were
recorded for the Cardinals.
Denny Starr was first in the
discus with a personal best of
I2.V4". Starr was also first in
the javelin with a throw of
H2M1.-", also a personal best.
The Cards' only other first

also placed first in the calf
roping and first in the team
roping with Lindsay Claver of
Hermiston
