Revenue Sharing. Citizens will
have the opportunity to make
oral or written comments and
ask questions concerning the
proposed use of the funds in
relation to the entire budget,
including possible off-set
against property taxes.

setting, the interesting cos
tuming and the skillful student
presentations really put the
conservation message forth
cleverly and effectively.
The final act of the produc
tion featured a Miss Renew
able Energy Beauty Contest in
which the appropriately cos
tumed contestants were Miss
geothermal. Miss Wind. Miss
Gasohol. Miss Hydropower.
Miss Bio-mass and a rather
late entrant Miss Solar who
was touted as the grand
mother of most of the other
entrants.
At the conclusion of the
stage show all students were
directed to return to their
regular 6th and 7th period
classes where they and their
teachers wrote twenty-minute
articles on any aspect of
energy use. The winners were
awarded their prizes as the
worthwhile Energy Education
Day concluded.

Students in kindergarten
through sixth grade, under the
direction of their teachers,
presented a program entitled
Welcome Spring on Thursday
evening. March 19 at the lone
School Cafetorium.
Kindergarten children and
their teacher. Marlene Davi
son, sang "Bingo" and did a
pantomime to "Snow White
and the Seven Dwarfs." They
were followed by synchroniz
ed dancing and lummi stick
rhythms to the song "Alley
Cat" which was directed by
Tom Busey. the sixth grade
teacher.
The second grade class,
under the direction of Laura
Broderick. danced the Vir
ginia Reel and sang "Magic
Penny." after which the class
. members passed out pennies
to the crowd.
Betty Rietmann led the first
grade class in singing four
dancers
songs arm a play "The Little
Red Hen." Next, a timely
energy conservation skit titled
"Alice and Peter in No
Energy Land" was performed
by the fifth graders under the
direction of Karen Beck.
Barbara Adams' third grad
ers danced two square dances .
and acted out five short plays
designed for only two actors.
After a surprise act by some
visiting Martians the fourth
graders exercised to a physi
cal fitness song "Chicken
Fat" and led the audience in
singing two Irish ballads,
accompanied by their teacher
