The following poetry is the work of the two freshmen
classes that I covered In this column last week. They are now
completing their third and final week in the poetry unit. To
me, being a poet myself, they have made wonderful
progress. "Horses"
Horses are black,
Horses are brown.
They run like the speed of sound.
They run on the wind.
They fly with the air on their tails.
It never fails,
Horses are the fastest around.
