The ChnmtHT of Commerce got a Christmas treat Tuesday as students from Heppner
Elementary School came to the weekly luncheon for a singing show.
Teacher Kitty Coon brought groups of first, third and Jr. High students to the Heppner Elks
Lodge to sing for the chamber.

There were 47 buyers and 96 consignors represented at
Thursdays market.
MARKET TREND : The steer market was down $2.00 with
500 - 600 lb. steers holding up better than the other classes.
The bottom dropped out on the heifers with a drop of $4.00 -.
5.00 in some classes. Some good quality cows held the cow
market steady, while the average was off $1.00 - 2.00. Plenty
of buyers were on hand, however they were being very
selective.
NEXT SALE: Thursday, December 17,"at" 12:30 p.m. This
will be the last sale of the year as there will not be a sale on
December 24 or December 31 as these are Christmas Eve and
