Judged 60 percent placing of animals in respective classes. (Animals must be naturally polled; if scars are present, they must not have been tampered with.) 20 percent exhibitor's herdmanship, 20 percent exhibitor's showmanship & sportsmanship. (A breeding animal must have proper registration papers & be registered in the exhibitor's name. Exhibitors of steers must submit proof of registry of sire or dam.) WESTERN STATES ANGUS AUXILIARY. 11261 Pioneer Rd.. Oakdale, Calif. 95361 will award a silver trophy to the outstanding FFA Angus exhibitor. Selection to be based on show ring placings of individual animals, placings in showmanship & in cooperation with Fair management. Open to exhibitors with one or more breeding and-or market animals. The purpose of this award is the promotion of the Angus breed. Winning of the Auxiliary trophy in previous years shall not exclude the exhibitor from winning it again. Foundation family. 2 females It 1 unrelated male DIVISION 6 - FFA LIVESTOCK CONTESTS FFA HERDSMANSHIP CONTEST Livestock will be tied or penned in sections. Each exhibitor must keep his tack and stall or pen clean and presentable at all times. Hay and straw is not to be used in bales behind animals. Judge will inspect the stalls and pens of each exhibitor at regular intervals and keep a record to determine the winners. Exhibitors will be judged individually. SCORING 1. Barns (clean and orderly) (25) Alleys, stalls and pens 10 Feed and equipment (safety) , 10 Stall Cards 5 TOTAL 100 Additional credit will be given for assistance in loading straw truck PREMIUMS to highest scoring individuals 1st $10 00. 2nd 17 50. 3rd $5 00 FFA LIVESTOCK JUDGING CONTEST Open to any FFA livestock Judging team in Oregon or Washington Advanced Team Greenhand Team Team awards will be made for the 3 top teams and an award to the high individual. Two classes of each: beef, sheep and swine, will be judged. SPECIAL MORROW COUNTY LIVESTOCK JUDGING CONTEST Open to members enrolled in a Vocational Ag. Class and in FFA. -Each contestant shall judge 2 classes each of beef, sheep and swine. Premiums will be awarded to the top 3 FFA teams in Morrow County and the top 5 individuals. Teams will be made up of 3 to 5 members. All members will also be eligible for the individual awards.
