March 10. to recognize those
who participated in basketball '
this year.
Boys J V. coach. Gene
Sartain awarded J.V. pins to
the following boys: Chris
Rietmann, Brad Schmidt.
Denny Starr. Craig Gutierrez.
Roger Morter, Vince McElli
gott, Roger Childers. Darrel
Colvard, Craig Hams. Howard
Leavitt and Darrin Padberg.
The boys finished their season
with a 13-5 season record and a
8 2 league record.

given to Mark Patton for most
rebounds and Gregg Riet

Spring is in the air and
basehall season is here. The
Heppner Mustangs have been
practicing for two weeks now
and will meet the Riverside
Pirates on their diamond, this
Friday. March 20.
The Mustangs will not have
a junior varsity team this year
due to a lack of turn-out. This
will indeed hurt the team for real tough.

chipped in 11 to lead Barber's

Columbia Basin Conference
because we have all returning
lettermen playing again this
year and Heppner should be

Grange met at the home of
Mrs. Wilbur Stengall on Tues
day afternoon with the chair
man. Josie Peek, presiding.
Plans were discussed for the
Spaghetti Supper und card
party to bo held at the grarlge
hall on Saturday March 21.
The spaghetti supper starting
at 6 p.m. will consist of the
main dish. I raised green salad,
garlic hread and beverage for
$2 .on. Following will lie a card
party for l .'O per person with
prizes and refreshments.
