54-41.
The Cards took a 21-14
first -quarter lead. In the
second quarter the Cards were
outscored by one, to make the
half-time score 27-21 in favor
of the Cards.
The third quarter was
evenly matched as each team
scored 5 points. In the last
quarter the Cards outscored
the Cougars by 5 to take a 54-41
victory over the Cougars.

and were defeated, 32-51.
The Cougars took the lead in
the first quarter. 5-7. They
moved their lead to 6 at the
half. 13-19.
In the third quarter the
Cards were outscored, 8-16, to
make the score 21-35 going
into the fourth quarter.
The Cards had several girls
in foul trouble and had only 7
girls who were able to play.
Liz McElligott fouled out late
in the third quarter and the
Cards had only one substitute
after this.
In the fourth quarter, the
Cards were outscored, 11-16,
to give the Cougars a 32-51

Weston-McEwen Friday, Jan.
16, and lost to the Tiger-iicots,
18-22. It was a close game
from the beginning, with
end-of-quarter scores, 5-5,
9-11, 15-15.
High-point scorer for the
game was Janet Plocharsky
with seven points.
The JV Fillies won their
game against Condon on
Tuesday, Jan. 19, 44-27. High
scorers were Janet Plochar
sky with nine and Sherry
Clement with eight points.

time of the season. The Cards
were victorious 51-47.
The Cards got the lead in the
first quarter by 2 as they took
a 12-10 lead into the second
quarter.
The Blue Devils outscored
the Cards in the second
quarter to take a 25-27 lead
into the locker room at the
half.
In the third quarter the
Cards came back to outscore

Coach LaRue commented,
"The kids came off the bench
to give us a big lift. It was good
to get a big league win after
last week's two three-point
losses, to get us back into
second place."
The Cards outrebounded the
Cougars, 35-26; Mark Patton
had 13 rebounds for the
Cardinals.
The Cards shot 24 of 62 for 39
