V All Saints Episcopal has Christmas services On Sunday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 a.m. the Reverend Eugene Miller of Milton-Freewater will hold Holy Communion at All Saints Episcopal Church in Heppner. The Rev. Miller was raised in Heppner and is a cousin of Tad Miller of Lexington. On Sunday. Dec. 21, at 10:30 a.m.. Morning Prayer will be led by a lay reader. On Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 8 p.m.. a Christmas Eve. sen-ice, "Candles and Carols," will be led by all three of All Saints' lay readers. On Sunday, Dec. 28, at 10:30a.m.. the Reverend Dick Thew from Cove will hold Holy Communion. This delightful play is a fantasy on the Christmas story as It was experienced by the star which snone over the Bethlehem stable, The director is Jean Brazell. Members of the cast are Kim Warren. Donations asked for BMCC Christmas dinner Donations are now being collected by the Associated Student Body of Blue Moun tain Community College for their annual Christmas Eve dinner scheduled for Wednes day, Dec. 24. from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the college This is the tenth year the students have provided a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for anyone in the community who would like to recapture that family feeling during the holiday season. Turkey and dressing, potatoes and gravy, vegetables, rolls and pumpkin pie are all on the traditional menu. Besides dining, people at tending the evening's celebra tion will join in singing carols. There will be a visit from Santa Claus with presents for all and a short selection of Shower to honor Sliaron Rietmann and new baby A baby shower in honor of Mrs. Harold (Sharon ) Rietmann and new baby daughter. Nova Lucile, will be held on Dec. 15 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the lone United Church of Christ social room, All are invited to attend. Auxiliary to decorate for hospital party A meeting of the Pioneer Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be held on Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. at the hospital solarium. After a short business meet ing, auxiliary members will spend the afternoon d worst ing the hospital and setting up the Christmas tree for the nursing home patients. On Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.. the Lexington Grange will host the annual Christmas party for the nursing home resi dents. Santa Claus is expected U drop in on the party The Auxiliary made $150 selling food and craft items at the Artifactory Dec. 6, almost half the amount of money needed to purchase an air purifier for the hospital, said Betty Brown, Mrs. Brown said that after the auxiliary is able to purchase a purifier, the next item will be a shampoo chair for the nursing home resi dents.
