East Africa, will be guest speaker Sunday evening. Oct. 26. at 7 p.m. at the Christian Life Center, 197 W. Willow, ' Heppner. the Rev erend Doug Thomas, pas tor, has announced. The Weyricks were, for the first six months of their first term of service, engaged in the study of Swahili, an Bantu language used in much ot East Africa and the Congo region. They were involved in three building projects, church planting, and pastoral train ing on Kenya's northern frontier and Mr. Kenya Recions. Their last pastorate was at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Harbor, Oregon. The Rev. Weyrick attended Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, California, and has done graduate studies at the Assemblies of God Grad uate School in Springfield, Missouri. The Weyricks have three children, Christalene, 14, Eddie. 11. and Aleta, one year. Pastor Weyrick will he sharing the challenge of their ministry during this missions service.
