After their two defeats
suffered over the weekend, the
Cards seemed red-hot and
ready for the 66-59 win over
Condon.
"The thing that won the
game for us was simply good
man-to-man defense," said
lone Coach Del LaRue. "We'd
been playing zone before and
we just really put the pressure
on them tonight," he said.
The Cards outscored the
Bluedevils in all but the last
quarter, where Condon out
scored the Cards 22-14.
"They came back good,"
said the coach: "They had me
a little worried," he admitted.
Kevin McCabe scored 20
points. Dennis Stefani 14,
Robin LaRue 12, Danny Mc

The Cards also showed a
good board balance with
Rietmann and McCabe both
grabbing 8 caroms.
Friday night and Saturday
night were not nearly as
successful for the Redbirds.
Although the Cards dropped
both of their games the game
play improved drastically
from Friday to Saturday,
according to Coach LaRue.
That improvement must have
carried over to the Tuesday
night win also.
"We relazed a lot between
the two games," said the
Coach, "and played the game
just that much better. Friday
night (the game was won by
the Heppner Mustangs.) we
weren't relaxing at all."
Robin LaRue lead the Cards
with 10 points, followed by
Kevin McCabe with 8. Both
