There are a few comments on the lone Championship game I would like to make. Being Thanksgiving vacation there was more alumni of all ages here than I have seen since the class reunion. Most of the young people were home from college, and others visiting with their families. A couple of young men I didn't recognize were Don McCarty, who attended lone High School several years ago, and Bruce Rigby, whose father, Grant Rigby taught shop at lone in the 50's. Bruce must have been in his early teens when they moved from lone. Basketball is in full swing now, and with only two days practice, Heppner defeated lone by only six points last Friday night, and on Saturday evening, lone beat Ukiah. Wouldn't it be great to be basketball champions, too? Had a card ' from Harriet (Heliker) Busby last week stating that she and Bill were vacationing in Florida. They were going to Bakersfield, Calif, for Thanksgiving and should be back in Seattle, Wash, by now. Kim Gutierrez and Gail McNary were married Sunday afternoon at Saint Williams Catholic Church. Helen and Bob Drake, and Cathy Gutier rez of Gresham were here this weekend for the wedding. Helen and Bob are operating a Tastee-Freez, located at 102nd St. and Sandy Blvd. in Portland. They would be happy to have anyone drop in and say hello. Congratulations to Helen and Paul Pettyjohn as last Sunday was their 39th Wed ding Anniversary. Fred Nelson is a patient in St. Anthony's Hospital in Pendleton, having had sur gery Monday morning, and I am sure he would appreciate hearing from his many friends.
