TEN The Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon, Thursday, August 24, 1978 Blue Mountain College lists Fall schedule for evening classes The fall schedule for Blue Mountain Community College evening division classes is now ready for publication. There is a fee increase this year. The increase is hoped to create more equity between the day and evening classes. The cost will be calculated at the rate of $9 per each 10-hour section. A 30-hour course will be $27, a 20-hour course $18, a $10-hour course $9. The schedule will be sent to every boxholder in Morrow and Umatilla counties in the form of a mailer. There will not be a schedule listed in the paper as previously done. The schedule that will be mailed will include the day and evening schedules for Blue Mountain. The pre-registra-tion form for the evening classes will be included in the mailer. Since many of the classes are limited, pre-regis-tration is essential. The student housing project would be located on the east side of a draw, northeast of the present college campus. Phase one would be construc ted almost entirely on land presently owned by NORPA. However, Phase two is tenta tively planned on land owned by the college. Mr. Lynch suggested that perhaps some arrangements could be made for the exchange of this property in consideration for other site development that would be beneficial to the college. The board asked the NORPA Development Co. to return to the September board meeting with more detailed requests for the board's consi deration. The living units proposed would be in a quad arrange ment with four bedrooms in each quad, centered around kitchen, bathroom, and dining areas, While exact rental figures cannot be determined until construction is comple ted, Mr. Lynch estimated that the rent would range from $95 to $135 per student per month. instruction on photography of the outdoors.
