EFSC also heard two other matters in separate sessions on Tuesday, June 27, An administrative rules hearing on radioactive standards and an appeal of administrative rulings. In the Pebble Springs case, Administrative Law Judge Lowell Bergen Friday laid out the following schedule for dealing with issues: From June 26 through June 30 and on July 5 and 6, testimony will be taken on land use, earth dam safety, environmental impacts, en dangered species and opera tional ability. Between July 10 and 13 EFSC will consider plant security and emergency plans. On July 10 and July 12 and 13, EFSC will consider plant security and emergency plans. (The hearing will be suspended on July 11, a regular meeting day for EFSC;. Between July 17 and 20, the hearing will take up evidence on decommissioning and waste and fuel disposal. -Between July 24 and 27 testimony will be taken on spent fuel storage and trans portation and the emergency core cooling system. Between July 31 and August 3, EFSC will consider residual risk analysis, with cross-examination scheduled to commence on August 7. They plan to return to Kinzua for several days before returning home to Laurel, Montana. Merrilee Rademacher spent last Monday and Tues day in Kinzua at the Jiggs Bowman home. Mrs. Rade macher, Pendleton, was here to visit and pick up her two sons who had been house guests at the Bowman home. Jack and Virginia Sitton enjoyed a weekend visit from their daughter Jackie Neckel sen and her children Brad and Tiffani. Jackie returned to her home in Pendleton Sunday. Tiffani and Brad will be enlivening the Sitton home for a few weeks. Ron and Ginger Bowman, Heppner, spent the weekend at his parents home while Jiggs, Rita and Cindy were in Prineville at the Dave Riney home. Ron and Ginger were here so Ron could take part in the golf tournament held Sunday at the Kinzua Golf Course between the members of the Heppner Golf Club and the Kinzua Golf club. Jiggs and Rita returned to Kinzua Sunday evening, leaving Cindy in Prineville to visit with her sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Dave Riney. lone Legion to hold July 4 fireworks Ione's American Legion post will present a fireworks display on the evening of July 3 at the lone High School ball field. The show is scheduled to start at dusk, in the vicinity of 9 p.m. It is believed to be the only such display to be held in the area during the Indepen dence Day weekend. Snacks will be available at a booth staffed by members of the Legion's post's ladies' auxilliary. CB Club plans summer camp Wheeler Dealers Meet The Wheeler Dealers CB Club held an informal meeting Friday evening at the home of Dennis "Catskinner" and Bon nie "Kitty Kat" Rogers. The members present dis cussed the Club's annual campout. It was decided to stay at Camp Sherman this year. Childbirth course set for July 9 A mini-course on childbirth for expectant parents will start Sunday, July 9 at 8 p.m. in the Heppner United Metho dist Church basement. The course is expected to include four to five sessions, and will focus on relaxation and breathing exercises which are used in the Lamaze technique of natural child birth. Fees for the mini-course will be $10 per couple. Persons interested in at tending are urged to contact the program's instructor, Vicki Tollefson at 676-9224 or Nancy Brownfield at 676-5039.
