Lexington Grange met Mon
day evening for their regular
meeting, with the Master Carl
Marquardt in the chair. The
meeting started with a pot
luck dinner followed by the
lecturer's program which was
special music by Dale Chick,
and a solo by his young
daughter, Karen,, accompa
nied by Dale.
The rest of the program was
a round table discussion on
insurance problems, with Bar
ton Clark, a member of the
Grange Mutual Life Board of
Directors of Nampa, Berl
Akers, agent from lone, and
Cecil Jones agent from Lex
ington. Plans were tentatively
made for a crab supper and
card party to be held in
March. Akers, the Morrow
County deputy, installed the
remainder of the officers who
were unable to be at the
installation in lone.
Pomona Grange will meet
Saturday in lone. The pro
gram has been provided for by
the lecturer, Ed Martin, of
Willows Grange.
Edna Munkers is home after
a weeks stay in Pioneer
Memorial Hospital.

hold public hearings on the
following matters:
1. A variance request by
Mary Blettel of Heppner. The
variance requested is a
change of setback from a side
property line to allow con
struction of a garage. Loca

the Morrow County Compre
hensive Plan. The Amend
ment would adopt the recently
completed Boardman Com
prehensive Plan as a portion
of the County Comprehensive
Plan, including those areas
shown as being within the
Urban Growth Boundary.

nance No. 413, an ordinance
prohibiting dogs from biting
people, running at large,
chasing vehicles or persons,
damaging or destroying pro
perty, scattering garbage, and
making frequent or prolonged
noises; making violation of
the ordinance an infraction;
establishing a hearing for
infraction; establishing forfei
tures; and declaring an emer
gency. ALSO, the Council will vote
to enact an ordinance which
will repeal No. 310, an
ordinance which prohibits

schools starts Feb. 20 when he
will attend Lincoln Agricultur
al College in Christ Church,
