A queen will be crowned during halftime this Friday M THE FORCE AT HHS "Star Wars" sets the theme for this year's Homecoming week at Heppner High with the space fantasy being car ried through from decorations to a special Star Wars costume day to the halftime show on Friday night. A busy week began with hall decorating and organization of class float decorations on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday was Sock Day, topped off by a Pizza Party and the burning of the traditional "H" afterwards. Decorations for the Friday night dance were also started Dy siuoenis. The big days, today and Friday are jam-packed with Homecoming activities. Today is Star Wars Dress-up Day, with the costume winner to be announced at the faculty pep assembly at 3 p.m. The day also features a powder puff football game between freshmen and senior girls at 12:45 with a tug-of-war imme diately following. Friday will be Blue and Gold Dress-up Day, with students being served a continental breakfast in the cafeteria at .a.M a.m. Buses leave nepp ner High School for a down town pep assembly at 12:30. A school pep assembly will be followed by a parade through main street at 4 p.m., featur ing class floats, the high school band and other student groups. Homecoming football action with Lyle will begin at 8 p.m. with a big halftime show planned The Homecoming dance is scheduled from 10:30 pjn. to 1 a.m. night, chosen from seniors Janice Healy, Sally Sumner and Shelley Thompson. Jun iors Maureen Healy and Jackie Mollahan round out the court. Shelley Thompson, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Thompson, is the vice-president of the National Honor Society, a dance team mem ber and plays varsity volley ball. SENIOR t - i MS . v i t roll's Deportment Store 1 3 Heppner ski and tole paint in her spare time. Sally Sumner is the daught er of Mrs. Rita Sumner and Rep. Jack Sumner. In addition to being president of the senior class, she belongs to the National Honor Society and helps keep Mustang football statistics. Sally enjoys show ing horses, hunting birds and is an excellent seamstress. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Healy have two daughters on the court. v V ) 7 H 4 I Mm 676-9460 Janice is president of Girls 's Athletic Boosters, president of the Rodeo Club, plays varsity volleyball and basketball, and is a member of the dance team. She is the 1977 Western States Junior Rodeo Associa tion queen. Maureen belongs to the Rodeo Club, National Honor Society and the dance team. Jackie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mollahan, is FFA secretary, a member of National Honor Society and the dance team and plays both varsity volleyball and basket ball.
