The special time-release class is. held at the Heppner Church of the Nazarene Mondays from 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. Conducted by the Child Evangelism Fellowship in cooperation with various churches, the class offers visualized Bible stories and songs to elementary school children. Puppets, flannel graph presentations and other techniques are used to drama tize the lessons. CEF staff members assist children in getting to and from the class location. Bus chil dren are released early enough to catch their buses at school. To attend the class, each child must present a parent permission slip, avail able in the school offices. Teachers and assistants, from various churches and trained in preparing Bible lessons, are Betty Forrar, Sherry Atkins, Geneva Black burn and Carol Collins. All materials are entirely interdenominational and chil dren are encouraged to attend their own church activities. Classes will start in lone and possibly Lexington soon. Notice of Public Hearing The Irrigon City Coun cil and Planning Com mission will hold . a public hearing to obtain comments on the Draft Goals and Objectives for Irrigon's Compre hensive Plan on Thurs day, October 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Morrow County offices in Irri gon. A brief presenta tion will be made on the information that has been collected during the planning process and the urban growth boundary will be discussed. Copies of the Draft Goals and Objectives will be mailed out to all residents of Irrigon be fore the public hearing.
