Knappa, another favorite along with St. Paul and Pilot Rock, faces Regis in a Thursday afternoon tilt. The Rocket girls crowned Weston-McEwen, 44-37, after holding off Tiger Scot rallies Honkers win "B" spot Arlington, decisive winners over lone this season, stopped Wheeler's Dan Greenfield and picked up a spot in the "B" state basketball tourney, 64 47, Saturday at The Dalles. . Their lone win was a 59-57 win over Umapine. Other close contests included a 30-29 loss to Ukiah; a 71-68 loss to Umapine; and a 49-45 loss to Condon. Lopsided scores went with the close ones. lone was blasted 67-30 and 88-47 by Helix; 76-29 and 75-34 by Arlington; and 60-18 by Riverside. Stats told the story for the young Cards. The Honker girls fin ished 12-5 on the season with the win. Helix finished the last three minutes of the game with three girls when two of their roundballers fouled out. In preliminary action, Wheeler beat Helix, 46-21, and Dufur downed Arlington, 37 33.
