They were married at Condon on Oct. 24, 1916 and lived there for thirty years, moving to Heppner in 1946. Bristow-Flynn Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bris tow, Portland, announce the wedding of their daughter, Katrina Ann, to Donald Pat rick Flynn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Flynn of New York City, NY. The wedding was held in St. Peter's Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16th, Portland. The reception was held in the Parish Hall followed by a buffet supper at Party slated ' . Children of . primary ages. ' (up to the 4th grade) will be entertained at a Halloween party on Saturday, October 30, t at the Methodist Church. Mrs. Nash's ' brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Al Nogowski of Milnor, ND, who had not been here for over 15 years, stayed three days. Mrs. Nash's sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Archer of Rochester, MN, came for their first visit in over 20 years. Mrs. Archer is a nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. On Sunday, October 31, from 4 until 6 p.m., the Junior UMYF will be holding their own Halloween party. Kenneth attended a 3-day NRECA (rural elec tricity) meeting in San Diego. During this time, Frances and Carl toured the city and es pecially enjoyed the Harbor Tour Excursion. In Los Angel es, they visited with friends and relatives. Among them were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reitmann. They also toured the Queen Mary. Stopping in Portland, they visited their daughter, Cherlyn, before re turning home. Miss Mryiam Durbach of Vancouver, B.C., and Allan Spence, formerly of Pendle ton, spent the weekend of October 9th visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Swanson. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ball were their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Salvert of Aurora, who came up for hunting season. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Drake, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Morgan returned home Sun day after a week's trip to Reno, NV. They spent time at Lake Tahoe, and also visited Virginia City. Mr. and Mrs. Drake were celebrating their first anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Swanson and daughter Sandra spent the weekend visiting relatives in lone and Heppner. Mr. Swanson came up for pheasant hunting and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth Turner, Heppner. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Aldrich spent the weekend in Aloha, helping their daughter and family moving to a new home. Mr. Mike Luther of Bend spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Swanson. The Elementary Halloween parties will be on Friday, October 29th, from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. The kindergarten will have their party in the morn ing. A date has been set for the school Christmas program and will be published now so other activities -can be sched uled accordingly. On Decem ber 22nd at 7:30 p.m., there will be a joint Christmas program for the kindergarten through 6th grade, planned by the elementary teachers, and a Christmas band concert conducted by Mr. George Russell.
