Their homecoming spirit week hat been chuck full of activities. On Tuesday, it was Kiddie Day and all the lone students dressed like children. Along with the youngster environ ment, a Shirley Temple looks-like contest, little red wagon race and tricycle races were held. On Wednesday, it was Bib-N-Tuck Day and all the students wore nice clothes for school pictures. A spoon race was thrown In to add some ex citement and fun to the formal day. On Thursday (today), it Is SOs Day. Along with dressing in clothes from 20 years ago, thei will be a powderpuff football game, slating the junior and senior girls against the sophomore and freshmen girls. A quiet noise parade is set for Thursday along with plus feed in the evening. After the feed, a bonfire is set with a rally and hay ride, along with serpentine and cheers downtown. The cheerleaders will per form a routine at the bonfire to the song, Boogie Fever. On Friday, the day of the clash with Cascade Locks, students are to wear red and white. They will decorate lockers and participate (n a pep assembly before the game at J p.m. Decked in red and white plaid, tone's Cardinal cheerleaders keep the fans smiling during Ione's football season. Two juniors, one sophomore, and senior grace the grid sidelines during Ione's afternoon conflicts. Leading the group is senior Debora Palmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Palmer. Junior cheerleaders are Carol McEUigott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D C. McElligott and Natalie Tews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Tews. Sophomore cheerleader, Kim Cofenas, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Akers. The foursome took home a fourth place ribbon this summer during the University of Portland's Dynamic Cheerleading Association clinic. Ione's red and white clad group was fourth among a 47 squad field. During the summer, the girls have raised money during fair time, manning the gates and doing odd jobs and housework around lone. During this homecoming week, they have plenty of activities slated and are selling homecoming mums and spirit puffs and buttons. Dennis Thompson No. 50 Jr. 145 lbs. .
