, ,The weather has been more favorable for the ladies play ,
- the past week or two and more are participating. Last week a
tie for low gross was between Pat Edmundson and Lois Hunt.
Low net honors went to Anetta Klinger and Linda Padberg
had the least putts. Cindy Kerr connected for the long drive.
- I wasn't aware of the carpentry abilities of Bob and Bill
Jepsen until recently, or did I realize they were in the
modular building business. Their efforts are certainly
appreciated by those of us who over extend our capabilities in
areas other than golfing. Thanks men!
; There were some close scores and good scores in Sunday
morning's men's play. The final results showed John
Edmundson winning over Charlie Rawlins for low gross in a
head-to-head competition. Weyland Hyatt came in with low
net and Rawlins won his second award for long drive. In the
least putts competition a tie resulted between Doug
Cunderson and Charles Stark. Maury Groves won KP
honors.
Before the barbecue on Sunday afternoon the men and
women were teamed for a fun round of competition. Each '
shot a tee shot, then shot each others ball and played the best
of the last shot. The result was some very low scores. The
winning team was La Verne Van Marter, Sr. and Kay
Anderson followed by Lowell Cribble and Rosemary Parks.
In third place were Frank Anderson and Irene Bonner.
Lowell Cribble also won KP honors and in the long drive
competition John Edmundson was the winner for the men
and Bev Cunderson took the ladies honor.
The local golfers will be traveling to Echo for a day of golf
this coming Sunday.
