They Hayed at Ka thy ' aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Elsass home. Friday evening the Fisher family attended a fund raising affair at Nampa. They reported a most enjoyable evening fea turing the singing of country western music by Terry Brad shaw. Terry Bradshaw may be better known as a quar terback of the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburg Steelers. Saturday the Fishers again went to Nampa to attend a country fair and auction. This was held to raise money to help support the Christian Schools in Nampa as was Friday's entertainment. Mrs. Ann Sharp, Mrs. Irene Samples and son Andy went to Pendleton for dental care for Andy, Monday. Mr. Paul Muzzy was dis charged from The Dalies General Hospital Friday. His condition is improved but he is still not able to get around very well. Mr. and Mrs. K.A. Dunlap are enjoying a visit with Wanda's sister and her hus band, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Cantrall of Likely, CA. The Cantrall's arrived Sunday and will spend several days with the Dunlaps. " ' Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jones and son Bobby went to Portland Thursday. While in Portland Bobby had some dental care before the family returned home to Camp Five Sunday. The Gordon Orrs went to Prinevllle Sunday to take Mrs. Orr's mother, Mrs. Mable Erickson out to dinner. Mrs. LaVelle Jellick and Mrs. Rita Bowman drove to Prineville Friday. LaVelle spent the weekend with her husband, Mark, Rita was joined by her husband Jiggs at their daughter Sara's home. Jiggs had dental care Friday afternoon in Prineville. Fri day evening they were Joined by Vic, Ron and Cindy. Saturday evening a birthday party and house warming was held at the Riney's new home. Gathered to celebrate Dave Riney's birthday and the house warming were all of the Bowman family and Dave's family, a total of about 30 people who enjoyed a most pleasant evening. The same group gathered again Sunday to honor the Mothers in the party. Mrs. Betty Benson, Mrs. Jill Benson and son Jared went to The Dalles Monday to keep a medical appointment. Raymond and Deena Reid and Steve and Roberta Conlee left Kinzua Saturday for a short vacation in Reno and Lake Tahoe. Steve and Ro berta went to Bend where they joined Mr, and Mrs. Robert Mlsener and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parker. The three couples went to Reno in a motor home where they joined the Reids. The party returned home Tuesday poorer in pocket but rich in memories of a good time and vowing to go again next year. The regular meeting of the Camp Five Womens Club was held May 8 at the Camp Five Hall. Mrs. Carol Norris was the hostess for the meeting. The seven members present decided to hold over the Womens Club Scholarship given yearly to a graduating senior from Kinzua or Camp Five, since there had been no applicants. The women decid ed to make a quilt to be raffled off as a fund raising project. Raymond and Deena Reid and daughters went to Bull Prairie Sunday where they met Deena 's sister Shirley Peterson and family from Hermiston. BRIDE TO BE HONORED A wedding shower was held Thursday at Jeffmore Hall in Kinzua to honor Miss Kris Long, Fossil, who is the bride elect of Dennis Ball, Kinzua. Nineteen guests played games and watched the hono ree assisted by her mother, Mrs. Dale Long of Camp Han cock and Miss Kay Roy of Fossil open her many gifts. Cake, punch and coffee were served to the guests. Hostesses for the shower were Mrs. Betty Benson, Mrs. Marion Tripp, Mrs. Jill Ben son, Mrs. Maurine Benson, Mrs. Cis Webb, Mrs. Hazel Jackson and Mrs. Sharron Kendall. " CAMP S CARD PARTY HELD The Camp Five Womens Club sponsored a card party at the Hal May S. Salad and sandwiches were served to the six tables of players by Pat Van Arsdale and Terry Todd. Sandy Williamson and Don Stanton won high. Low went to Betty and Hershel Murdock. Sally Klukkert and Don Stan ton had pinochles. The door prize was won by Wanda Dunlap. The Wheeler County Arch ers held their first invitational shoot May 2 at the Kinzua Range. The beautiful weather brought out a good turnout of local and out-of-town archers for the shoot. Winner were: Cub girls, 1st Debbie Moore; Cub Boys 1st West Hammond, 2nd Pat Bell, 3rd Tim Fisher. Youth Boys: 1st Terry Fisher. Womens Bare Bow : A 1st Wilma Stone ; B 1st Linda Maxson; C 1st Edith Bell. Womens Bow Hunter Conventional: C 1st Josephine Rez. Womens Bow Hunter Compound : C 1st Betty Murdock. Men Free Style Unlimited: A 1st Bob Looney, 2nd Del Moore; B 1st Richard Curry. Mens Free Style Limi ted: A 1st Walter Hammond. A new course record for 14 field, 14 hunter and 14 animal was set by Bob Looney of Bend Bowmen Club with a score of 784 shooting in the Free Style Unlimited. The next invitational will be held June 6 at the Kinzua Range. The rounds will be 14 hunter, 14 field and 14 animal. Registration will be from 8 : 30-9 : 30 wi th shoot ing to star t at 9:30 a.m. There will also be a pot luck dinner, remember to bring your food. Another special event com ing up for club members is the Annual Pinochle Card Party and White Elephant Auction to ' be held June 19 at the Club House at the Kinzua Range. There is an advance ticket sale for this event, if you find ' you will be unable to attend but wish to contribute to the building fund buy your tickets and get your name in for the door prize drawings. Also with the warmer weather we are having the local Thursday pot luck dinner starting again soon. The monthly meeting will be held Thursday, May 20. This will be an important meeting so please attend. Meeting will be held the third Thursday of each month so mark your calendars so you won't forget. See you at the meeting.
