Larry Lindsay said, when he was explaining that his family brought five adults and ten children from Camp Pendleton to the Lind say Ranch north of Lexington. Whenever he has visited the Lindsay Ranch he has had many telephone calls for help Irom various camps. Relatives tn this area have received word of the death of 1 Arthur W. Campbell. Terre ' Haute. Indiana on June 14. He is survived by his wife, Wanda and two daughters. Patricia Mas-rose and Doris Campbell, two grandchildren of Terre Haute; one brother. Roy. Lexington: two sisters. Annie Kenne of Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Hermiston and Effie Crow of Grand Forks B C. Canada, and nieces and nephews in this area Arthur, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Campbell was born in Lexington on April 24. 1899. He attended school in Lexington. Heppner. the University of Oregon and the University of low a. He majored in chemis try, working as a research chemist until he retired. Dr. Campbell will be remembered by many around Morrow County and was the speaker at the graduation exercises in lone and Heppner High Schools in 1M!. It was voted at this lime to raise the dues to $i beginning the first of Jan. I76. Plans were made for initia tion in September or October. The birthday party for the quarter was held with 12 sisters receiving gifts. Hostess was Mrs Bloodsworth who was assisted by Catie Pad berg. It was announced that the school reunion polluck dinner will he held at the dinning room of the hall instead of the school grounds. The hall will be opened early for those wishing to leave food.
