The plywood has been cut to true length and width and hits this paddle-wheel while the operator inspects both sides of the wood and grades it by means of an electronic device. Corporation . J"j . ... f 1 open house TV 00 The Rev. Ben Taylor, associate pastor of Bible Temple, Portland, will be speaking Sunday. March 23, and each evening through Wednesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. Morning meetings will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. A singing group, Elkanah, of the Portland Bible College will present gospel music in the morning and evening services Sunday. This will be a real treat, especially for young people. A pot luck dinner is planned for Sunday with Rev. Taylor and the singing group. The Rev. Ben Taylor has pastored Assembly of God churches for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of SCC and Western Evangelical Seminary in Portland. He is currently pastor of Bible Temple with his main responsibility to oversee the cassette tape ministry that reaches Into 35 foreign coun tries, all of the U.S., Into penal institutions and branches of the armed services. He is also a Bible college teacher and counselor. Relatives learned of the death of Kenneth Lane Wilson, 25. of Milwaukie, who died March 7 of injuries received in a motorcycle accident near Vreka, Ca. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O. He was employed as a tree planter for the U. S. Forest Service at the time of his death. Survivors Include the widow, Chris, Yreka; his parents, Mllatikie; and two brothers, Michael Wilson of Portland and Steven of Mil waukie: and his grandmother, Mrs. Nora Wlnchell. Mil waukie. Rurial was in the Clack amas Cemetery. Eleven Boy Scouts made a 20-mile hike from Irrigon to Bonrdman and back Satur day. They followed the Col umbia River going down then divided into two groups to compete In getting home first. They returned home through the desert. Troop fiftf is making plans for a SO-mile hike during spring vacation, the last week of March. They plan to hike 10 miles a day. from the top of Cabbage Hill to I'nion. The meeting was presided over by Carolyn Howard, chairman, The group voted to buy a riding walker to be left at Pioneer Memorial Hospital for use, and on loan there, at Ihe discretion of the hospital. It was announced that plans were being made by a committee for a luncheon and card party April II to help with the state assembly and home expenses Instead of raising the dues at Ihe present time, Hie group also planned a traveling food sale to be held on Good Friday. They will start at Ihe Florence McMil lan home and travel until the food is gone.
