Refuge offers free
l-ocal people who are inter
ested in a few trees for their
own use should plan to come to
the Umatilla National Wildlife
Refuge. Saturday morning.

Refuge Manager John Kurtz
said they have several hun
dred trees between 8 and 15
feet tall that are no longer
needed by the refuge. The
refuge staff will dig the trees
but cannot deliver them.
Kurtz said they have an
abundance of thornless honey
locust. Wild American plum
and Russian mulberry. Quan
tities of these i trees will
probably be limited to 6 or 8
per person, depending on
demand. There also are a few
