J Both are graduates of lone High School. She is currently attending the University of Oregon here she will receive a BS degree in elementary education in June. This March Mr. McElligott will graduate from Oregon State University in agricultural economics. A summer wedding is planned- MARTER University of Oregon. Mr. Lane is a graduate of Condon High School, and attended Lane Community College. Eugene. He is pre sently employed by Columbia Basin Electric Co-op, Hepp ner. Sewing class offered Blue Mountain Community College is offering a sewing class for the winter semester designed for beginners or anyone wishing to brush-up on basic sewing methods. The class will meejjn the Heppner High School, Wed nesday. Jan. 8. at 7 p.m. Instructor will be Jeanne Howell, a graduate of the University of Idaho School of Home Economics. During the semester pattern and fabric selection, facing and zipper application, grad ing and pressing methods, hemming, set-in sleeves, waistbands and cuffs, along with other finish techniques, will be taught. Instruction will begin with the construction of a simple cotton garment and progress into more difficult sewing, incorporating appropriate techniques. Some knit sewing will be included. V - FREE HOT DOGS r 1 Christinas was delayed a few hours for Pastor and Mrs, Robert Schmoll when their 2-year-old son Daniel acciden tally got his finger smashed in a door. He whs taken to St. Anthony's Hospital in Pendle ton on Christmas Eve, where his finger was sewed up after losing the fingernail on a little finger. He was kept over night at the hospital. The family finally arrived af grandmother's house in Port land at 5 p.m. Christmas Day with Daniel a little pal and with a very sore finger. A New Year's Eve service was held at the Assembly of God in Irrigon. The women of the church brought their favorite cake or a batch of cookies for refreshments. The 4 II Pebble Pups had a field trip Dec. 28. They visited the Little Gem Shop operated by Mr. and Mrs. Zachery Brown in Stnnfield. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Jancurra of Seattle; daughters, Sharon Cassady, Seattle, Barbara Sue Carlson, Hellvue, Wa.; a son Douglas Jancurra, Seattle; and her father, Jay Berry of Portland. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Berry, and her sister, Barbara Rosencrants. She was a former Irrigon resident and leaves many friends, a number of cousins and other relatives in Irrigon. Robert Rurker, Irrigon, was taken to Good Shepherd Hos pital, llermiston, Dec, 28, by ambulance for a possible coronary. Members of the George and Hob Currin families and the Hill Ilealys Joined Hon and Judy and their five children for dinner and festivities. An interesting visitor was Telia Currin, Hob's daughter, who had just come from New York City where she has been on the staff of Forbes Maga zine for several years.
