Rusty, who has worked for both Ringling Bros, and Barnum and Bailey Circuses, is known throughout the entertainment world. He has worked with such celebrities as Emmet Kelly, Lou Jacobs, Otto Griebling, Paul Jung, Phillis Diller, Jane Powell, Lawrence Welk, Mel Blanc, Judy Canova, Jim Backus, Billy Barty and Walt Disney Productions. He will appear at the Assembly of God Church to hold a children's rally, Saturday, June B, at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. He will also appear Sunday morning, June 9, for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., and stepping out of character will bring the message for the morning worship at 11 a.m. and will share his views on Christian living. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Spivey of Baker; great grandfather, O.L. Hire of Caldwell, Idaho; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Davis of Prairie City; great grandparents, Mrs. Margurite Davis of Burns and Mrs. Norma Long of Drewsey, Ore. Sue Moore arrived May 16 from Elk City, Idaho, for a visit. Also Norman Cluff of Lewiston, Idaho, arrived May . 18 for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Jane Yeigh were in The Dalles Tuesday to keep doctor appointments. Harold Parton went with them to bring his wife home. She has been a patient in the hospital. Mrs. Fran Brahm took Mrs. Guy Williams to Prineville Thursday to enter the hospital for surgery on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mattison went to Baker Thursday to attend funeral services of Sue's grandmother. Mrs. Deena Reid and Dale Sinclair went to Pilot Rock Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Britt. Miss Karen Stratton of Pendleton was a weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hire and family. Mrs. Nina Castles and Tara Lee Ann of Bonnersferry, Idaho, spent a few days here last week visiting her daugh ter, and Mrs. Vick Wallis, and family. Mrs. Dick Reece and Rick of Joseph were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Van Arsdale and family. Wheeler County Archers went to Baker Saturday to attend a shoot with the Elk Horn Archery Club. Doug Eldders took first place in the men's bow hunter division, Betty Eldder took first in the : women's bear bow division, with Betty Murdock taking second. Herschel Murdock took second in the men's bear bow division. Mr. and Mrs. Buzz Bell of Union and Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Bell of Portland were here for the weekend to visit Mr. and ' Mrs. Evlyn Bell and Kent, and to attend Kent's graduation. Mr. and Mrs. Roe Bleakman and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Saddler of John Day were here for the weekend to attend the graduation of George Saddler. They were all guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Saddler. Mr. and Mrs. Red Hulett of McNary were here for the weekend to attend the gradu ation of their grandson, Randy Hulett. Miss Cathy Nelson was home for the weekend and to attend graduation. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Reid and family and Dale Sinclair went to Caldwell, Idaho, Friday for Dale to return to his home. Florence Bell of Pendleton and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Smit of Baker were also here to attend the graduation of Kent Bell. Sarah Bowman of Portland was home for the weekend to attend the Golden Anniver sary of Mr. and Mrs. D.S. Rice of Condon. Bunco was held Tuesday evening at the home of Edith Bell in Fossil. Prizes went to Dinah Jackson for high score, second high to Sharon Bell, low to Mrs. Casey, most bunco's Naomi Rice, traveling prizes to Naomi and Becky Ostrander. Others enjoying were Pat McMinn, Vi Slin kard, Barbara Heim, Sharon Asher and Rose Vadar. Mr. John Wall was home for the weekend to visit his father, Ernie Wall. Good Neighbors held their monthly meeting Thursday at Jeffmore Hall with a Mexican potluck dinner. The high school Spanish class were guests bringing pictures and souvenirs they brought back from their recent trip to Mexico. Next month they are going to have a kitchen shower to help get items for the new kitchen. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Loyld of Hood River were here to attend the graduation of their niece Pam Rogers. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Henrey Spivey and to attend the graduation of Darrayl were Mr. and Mrs. Loyld Davis and Abe Clark of Baker, Randy Saul and Steve Combs of Bates.
