Newspaper Page TextPage 4 lone pool open on June 2 lone School's swimming pool director, Maureen Mc Elligott, has announced that summer pool operation will begin Sunday, June 2, at 2 p.m. The pool will be open for free swimming on opening day. Wranglers to present awards The Wranglers will hold their annual awards dinner dance, Saturday, June 1, at the American Legion Hall, lone. A potluck dinner at 7 p.m. will precede presentation of awards. Awards will go to high point winners in the past four Wrangler Playdays. Following the presentation of awards, a dance will be held to live music. Wranglers and their guests are invited to attend. Everyone is invited to attend Ione's Annual Public Potluck Picnic to be held in the school cafeteria, Friday, May 31, at 12 noon. Plates, silverware, punch, coffee and icecream will be provided and persons are asked to bring their food dishes to the cafeteria by 11 a.m. SORORITY NAMES NEW OFFICERS Beta Omega Sorority of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met at the home of Mrs. John Edmundson. May 22. and pledges were presented with memberships and officers elected for 1974-75. Officers elected were: Mrs. John Edmundson. president; Mrs. Marvin Peterson, vice president; Mrs. Charles Doherty, corresponding and recording secretary; Miss Gale Herrmann, treasurer; and Mrs. Paul Proudfoot, educational director. These proposed taxes are outside and in addition to the limitation imposed by Section 11 of Article XI of the Oregon Constitution. The maximum rate of levy deemed necessary to raise Six Thousand Dollars ($b,000.00) is the sum Ninety Cents Per Thousand (90c per $1,000.00) of true cash value of taxable property within the district, to run for ten consecutive years. Published May 3D, June 6, 1974 Pool hours are as follows: Gosed on Mondays, and open Tuesday through Sunday from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Daily admission charges are: adults, 50 cents; grades 7-12, 25 cents; grades 1-6, 15 cents; and pre-school, free. Season passes are: families, $20; adults, $10; grades 7-12, $6; grades 14 $4; and pre school, free. Rental after regular hours will be $10. Due to recent damage to one of the underwater lights, the pool opening may be delayed. Notices will be posted at Bristow's and at the school office if delay is necessary. The schedule for swimming and life saving lessons will be announced at a later time. WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP ELECTS OFFICERS The United Church of Christ Women's Fellowship met at the home of Mrs. Darrel Wilson, May 23, at which the Rev. William Arthur installed officers for 1974-75. Installed were: Mrs. Ken neth Smouse, president; Mrs. Van Hubbard, vice-president; and Mrs. Darrel Wilson, secretary-treasurer. Mrs. Fredrick Martin presented each new officer with a corsage made by the lone Garden Club. Meetings of the UCC Wom en's Fellowship have been discontinued for the summer months and will resume the fourth Thursday in Septem ber. KINCAIDS ARE REMARRIED Ralph and Patty Kincaid were remarried in the Pres byterian Church, Pendleton, May 13. Maid of honor was their daughter, Katherine. Their son. Ralph Earl Jr., was best man. Sharon Hines, Pendleton, was a guest at the wedding.
