Pinochles were won by Rosie Graham and Dinah Jackson. Others playing were Ruth Carey, Barbara Heim, Lorri Hire, Deena Reid, Sue Mattison, Evy Luper, and Sharon Bell. A couples card party was held Friday evening with Carol Norris as hostess. High was won by Betty Murdock and Jack Williamson. Middle score went to Wanda Dunlap and David Mattison. Pinoch les were won by Earl Norris and Marguerite Stanton. Playing were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Norris, Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. David Mattison, Mr. and Mrs. Don Stanton, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Dunlap, Mrs. Dan niel Bell and Jack Williamson. Mrs. William Mai and Mrs. Larry O'Neal went to The Dalles Thursday to bring home Mrs. Arden Tripp, who had been in The Dalles General Hospital for the past several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cody went to Portland over the weekend and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Parlmo. Ron Bowman went to The dental appointment. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Conlee went to Hcppner Saturday evening to attend the Elks Annual. Thursday, Mar, 7, Mrs. Larry Braham re turned this weekend after spending several weeks in Reno, Nev., visiting Mr. and Mrs. Newton. Mr, and Mrs. Earl Norris went to Pendleton Saturday to square dance with the Rock ets. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Cecil went to Heppner over the weekend and visited Mr. and Mrs. Dick Gorham, Jerry and Gordon Cecil. Going to John Day over the weekend to attend the snow mobile races were Mr. and Mrs. Don McConnell and Bill, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Samples and family, Raymond Reid and Harmut Karl. Mr. and Mrs. Harvy Spivey of Baker were here Sunday "and Monday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hire and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mattison and families. This is-. my last week for doing the Kinzua news. Once again, thank you. Kevin Gutierrez broke his ankle during basketball prac tice, Feb. 6. His leg will be in a cast for about six weeks. Kevin is on crutches until a walking cast can be applied. Playing bridge were Mrs. Dean Hunt, Mrs. Eldon Padberg, Mrs. John Ledbetter, Mrs. C.C. Carmichael, Mrs. Art Wat kins, Mrs. Lucia Cutsforth, Mrs. Robert Davidson and the hostess. Norita and Charma Mar quardt were in Portland Thursday to bring Mrs. Nor ma Marquardt home. Holly Rebekah Lodge held their fifth card party Saturday night in the Lodge Hall. Clifford Williams won high for the men and Mike Palmer won low. Mrs. Martha Van Schoiack won high for the ladies, Mrs. Mike Palmer low. The last card party of the series will be the first Satur day in April. Mr. and Mrs. John Collins were visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Hughes. Mr. and Mrs. Collins are making their home in Pendleton. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kroll are now making their home in Hermiston. Mr. and Mrs. William Van Winkle were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dan Aastad in Portland over the weekend. While there they were able to do some smelt fishing. Mrs. Kennth Howard is in St. Anthony Hospital in Pen dleton. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rhea spent Feb. 16-23 in Hawaii. The trip was given to Carl by Grieb Farms Inc. for 20 years service. Mrs. Rhea said the weather was so nice, and didn't rain once. They re turned with sun-burnt noses. Stan Kemp was on the same tour with the Rheas.
