The junior class made and presented to the church two banners for the wall. The banners were designed by Mrs. Lindsay Kincaid. The first was constructed of purple felt with gold fringe and white symbols of a dove, shield, fish, cross, sheep, staff, manger, chalice crown and star. The other was of white felt and large green tree. It was called the "Tree of Jesse" and brightly -colored ornaments on the tree were a Star of David, apple, harp, donkey, lamp, stone tablets, skyline of Beth lehem and a snake. The 23 members of the class ex plained to the congregation why each symbol was chosen and what it meant to modern day Christians. The class is instructed by Mrs. Bob Riet mann. The primary class taught by Mrs. Bill Arthur and Cassan dra Chapel explained the meaning of the colors used for the altar candles during the Advent observance. , Mrs. Kenneth Klinger and Mrs. C.C.
