Heppner Public Library has
seen its usage drop almost as
badly as Mall Street hat tats
month.
Record kept by the retired
librarian Mrs. Blanch Brown
show that in July 461 books
were circulated, August 588.
September $90 and last month
496 This month's records
show that just over 200 books
have been checked out
through Nov. 26.
It would seem 'hat as books
become more expensive to
buy that free public libraries
would show greater circula
tion Some Heppner people
have made the library a regu
lar stop at least every two
eeks--but many don't seem
to realize this institution
exists
Three volunteers have con
tributed helping hands this
month. Lesley Patching.
Grant Weatherford and Deb
bie Peck Olson have given
work time
Nine new borrower's cards
have been filled out so far this
month-which may help bring
the circulation up again next
month.
