DAVID HARRISON
ATTENDS MEETING
David Harrison, Manager of
Columbia Basin Electric Co
operative, recently attended a
meeting of the Oregon PUC
with representatives of all
utilities in Oregon.
The meeting was called for
as a result of HB2439, which
calls for a plan for "load
curtailment" during emer
gencies by gas and electric
utilities, but does not spell out
any guidelines.
The plans discussed at the
meeting in Salem on July 12
considered both "peak" and
general "load" consideration.
Pacific Power & Light Co.
has worked up a suggested
broad procedure for consid
eration. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Carr,
Gary, Ricky and Mark spent a
week of their vacation at
Yellowstone Park. Enroute
home they visited with friends
at New Meadows, Idaho.
