The church wis decorated in fall colors of orange and gold. Rev. Johnson officiated at the double ring ceremoney. , The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white taffeta with an over-apron of lace in the front and back. Host Reception The women of the Lutheran Church hosted the reception following the ceremoney. Orange and gold flowers carri ed out the brides colors on the five tier wedding cake. Orange candles in a silver candelabra decorated the table. Mrs. Darrell Vinson, Heppner and Mrs. Johnny Jackson, grandmother of the bride, cut and served the cake. Going Away ' For going away, the bride wore a brown knit pant suit with a gold ruffled blouse. She used brown accessories and an orchid corsage topped cff the outfit. After a wedding trip to Lake Chelan, the couple is at home in Heppner. Cindy is a 1972 graduate of lone High School and was employed at the Frances Shop in Pendleton before her mar riage. Dean is a '72 graduate of Heppner High School and is employed on his father's ranch.. Other guests at the Britt Ranch on Christmas day were their daughters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Potter and girls, Mr. and Mrs. Burke Gentry and Dawna and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Troxell. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Coffman and Russel could not be there for Christmas but visited her parents a few days at New Years. Gwen, BMCC student and Rick, Heppner High senior and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fergu son of Corvallis were also at the ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Bob DeSpain Jr. are living at the ranch with Rick while the Drakes are scattered to their several educational endeavors. All the Drakes enjoyed Christmas day with Mrs. Emma Drake. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warren and Joan and Steve Warren from Provo, Utah also spent the day with -Mrs. Drake. , Mr. and Mrs. Claude Drake of Midway Sub-Station, Wn. were here to spend New Years weekend with Mrs. Emma Drake. Grace left Saturday to drive back to Berkeley where she is attending Seminary. Friends have received word that she arrived safely. Knitting Clinic Dorothy Klock, Troutdale, well-known around Oregon for her skills in hand knitting, and as a judge, will be presenting a knitting clinic in Morrow county at the Lexington Schoolhouse, Monday evening, January 8, 7:30 p.m. The clinic was scheduled for 4-H leaders and members, but is open to the public as Extension wishes to share the skills and techniques of this talented individual with all interested in hand knitting. , Those attending are asked to bring some yarn, knitting needles, and any questions they may have. Bridesmaids were Denise Bloodsworth, sister of the groom, Mrs. Dean Wright, cousin of the bride both of Heppner, Melissa McEUigott and Chris Lindstrom both of lone, and Junior bridesmaid Kim Cofinas cousin of the bride, Aurora. The Matron of Honor wore a floor length gown of pink velvet. The bridesmaids wore similar gowns of red velvet. They all carried white fur muffs accent ed with holly. The Best man was Mark Tullis of lone. Groomsmen were Rick Barnett, brother of the bride, Pendleton, Vernon Frederickson, Irrigon; Earl Pettyjohn, Tom McEUigott and Junior Groomsman Dan Akers all of lone. Acting as usher was Gary Kemp of Heppner. The men in the wedding party wore gray dinner jackets with red ' rose bud boutonnieres. The Flower girl was Delynn Barnett, cousin of the bride. She wore a pink velvet dress identical to that of the Matron of Honor. The Ring bearer was Shannon Barnett, cousin of the bride, who's outfit matched that of the bridegroom. Mothers Attend The mother of the bride wore a pastel green street length dress with matching green accessories, and the mother of the groom wore a red and white street length suit with matching accessories. The organist was Mrs. Paul Tews. John Maatta sang, "One Hand, One Heart", "The Lord's Prayer", and "Where Thou Goest". room and the equipment that will be used. . This class will have two sections one for beginners and one for persons who have had experience in ceramics. Anyone interested is asked to attend the first meeting or leave word at the Grade School office. A minimum of 10 will be required to hold the class. The Thursday night Adult General Education class will resume tonight at the Neigh borhood Center from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m . Another General Education class meets on Wed. mornings from 9:00 to 11:00.
