Maid of Hclnor was Mm Suaan Alhin, a college friend from Portland, and the hrides maid was Gwen Drake, lister of the bride, Both wore Identical floor length empire waiHt yellow dotted iwim .dresses with while trim head bands of yellow duisies. They carried nosegays of yellow daisies. The candles were lighted by Joan Warren, cousin of the bride, who was dressed in a yellow dress similur to the other attendants. Hon Smith, friend of the groom, Eugene, was best man and ushers were Sieve Cheyne and Rick Druke, brother of the bride. The mother of the bride, Mrs. Grace E. Druke, wore a knit aqua blue dress with green accent. The mother of the groom wore a royal blue princess style long sleeved dress and each wore white orchid corsages. The cake was made by Mrs. Francine Evans, Irrignn. Attending the gift table were Miss Karen Ferguson and Miss Diana Cutsforth. Miss LuAnn Ferguson was in charge of the guest book. Following a wedding trip to the Coast the couple will be at home at 1425 N.W. 15th, Corvallis, Oregon. The bride is a registered nurse with a degree from Oregon University School of Nursing and the groom is a graduate from Oregon State and has spent the last 2 years in the Peace Corps in Iran. He is in graduate school at OSU. The bride it at Good Samari tan in intensive coronary care unit. BRIDAL SHOWER The bride was feted at a wedding shower on Sept. 12 in the basement of the Heppner Methodist Church. At Good Samaritan School Of Nursing Dee Ann Pettyjohn has entered the Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She attended SOC last year, her first year out of high school. She won the Soroptimist Academic Scholarship that year. This year she was awarded the Morrow County TB and Respiratory Disease Ass'n scholarship. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrsf Howard Pettyjohn of Heppner. Wedding Plans ' Announced Mr. and Mrs. George Steagall of Heppner announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Vicki, to Mr. Dick Hynd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hynd, Jr. of Pendleton. The wedding will be at the Heppner Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2:30 p.m. There will be a reception immediately following the ceremony in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Shirley Baker Mr. and Mrs. David Baker, lone announce the engage ment of their daughter, Shirley, to Randy Tachella, son of Ralph Tachella Jr., Pendleton and Beverly Mc Cloyd, Pendleton. Miss Baker is a graduate of St. Mary of the Valley Academy, Beaverton, and is employed at St. Anthony Hospital. Tachella is employed at Harris Pine Mills and plans to continue college in Wash ington. Grate at once and drain off water that collects in grating. Mix po tatoes, onion, flour, bacon bits, eggs and seasonings, blending well. Heat butter (enough to be " deep) Just before butter turns brown drop in by tablespoons and flatten them out. When golden brown on one side turn pancakes over and cook until crisp and brown on other side. Remove to paper towels and keep warm while fryng re maining pancakes. Sandy Matheny To Be On Seminar Sandy Matheny, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Matheny has been asked to appear on a Federal Seminar at the Coliseum in Portland later this month. The Women in Government Seminar will feature women in many phases of government work. Sandy will speak on her summer experience at the Columbia Gorge State Park at Eagle Creek.
