birthday. She was looking

ton is Mrs. French's mot
her. Joining them there was
another daughter of the Fren
ch's, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wood
(Karen) of Corvallis.
All of Mrs. Denton's child
ren were there. They were
Howard Denton of Heppner,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Eula)
Fischer of Eugene, Mrs. Har
lan Denton of Prineville, Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Denton of
Brookings, Mr. and Mrs. Da
vid (Sharon) Peterson of Con
don, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Riv
era with whom Mrs. Denton
makes her home at Salem and
Mr. and Mrs. Vic Flynn also
of Salem.
Mrs. Denton has 19 grand
children, 21 great grandchil
dren and 2 great great grand
children. Also sharing in the
afternoon were Mr. and Mrs.
joe French of Salem. Joe
and Raymond French are
brothers. Adding to the fun
it was Joe's birthday too.
There were 58 there. This
was the first time they had
all been together since 1956.

Heppner to make their home.
They had their mobile home
moved from the east coast
and have it set up on Black
Horse Canyon. Mr. Schultz
is falling timber with his
brother-in-law, Dail Turner.
He spent 8'2 years in the mi
litary service. Mrs. Art
Calbraith and Mrs. Turner
are his sisters. Mrs. Schu
ltz is the former Linda Hea
th, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

ple will remember seeing
them at the Fair last year
when they worked with their
mother as she demonstrated
spinning wool. They are dau
ghters of Mr. and Mrs. Le
land Hardy. Mrs. Hardy is
the former Patricia Peck.

ilar type operation.

Fair will be Aucust 22-25,
and rodeo Aug. 26-27 at Hep
pner. Homemakers are en
couraged to enter home mak
ing exhibits in the open class
division. There will be many
changes at the fair this year.
One of these is the "Teen
Corner." This is a special
open class exhibit area for
teenagers only. They may
exhibit a wide variety of hand
crafted articles.

ed August 21 from 1 to 5
p.m. and 8-11 p.m. The
deadline for entering exhibits
is 11 a.m. Tuesday, August
