CARL THOEDSON of lone suffered a heart attack last week and is in St. Anthony's Hospital. Ke was expected to be in the hospital 10-14 days. Agnes Sperry is spend ing this week at the ranch with Carl's sister, Linea Troedson. AT PIEFERS Mrs. Ercia Pieper has en joyed a housefull of company; were her grandson, Dennis Dick and his son David, of North Bonneville; Mr. and Mrs. Rick Pieper whose wed ding she recently attended; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kail and Jotii of Portland and his nep hew Gerrold Kail. Other guests for Satur day supper were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Holliday, Clinton and Troy of Aloha who were en route to Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Leland McGiil of Cecil. Ch e rvle Turner, Sandy Bennett, McConnells return to Lex after visit to By Delpha Jones Mrs. Charles McConnell returned home this week from a trip she and five of her children made to North na. kota. Cynthia, 13, John, 14, stayed behind to visit their two sets of grandparents for the remainder of the sum mer. Mrs. McConnel's sister came up from Rapid City and told of the horribieness of the flood. The water came up into the alley behind their home. Bodies are still be ing recovered under the de bris. Dogs have been used to locate the bodies. The day they left a tor nado warning had been sound ed. The tornado hit Minot and one woman was killed. Mrs. McConnell has a sister employed in Minot and has not heard from ber. In the area she visited, hard spring wheat is raised. They expect this years crop to be a good one. Their harvest season comes late in August and early Septem ber. Due to the airline strike, the trains were crowded. En route to North Dakota, their train went through Glacier National Park which they en joyed seeing. Roy Campbell has returned home after a weeks stay at the Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mes senger and children of Port land have been visiting his parents, Mr. i Mrs. T.E. Messenger. Sunday the fam ily enjoyed a barbecue at the Messenger home with the T. E. Messenger Sr. family of Hermiston, Lois Rose Mes senger and Carl Marquardt families also present. Nonta, Charma and Billee June Marquardt are spending the 4th of July holidays with their brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Rick Marquardt in Pullman, Wn. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Klinger this week were Bill Klinger, Bonnie Le ong, Frank Quintano, Ellen Sherman and Mr. and Mrs. Vic Klinger of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ro binson were recent Portland visitors where they both re ceived medical attention. Melissa and Linda Smith oi Hermiston, were Lexington visitors this week, as e nests of Kimmberlee Larson, who is visiting from Portland with Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Jones. Counselors selec ted television commercials to name each tent in the "4-H Tent City". The weather was great, and all campers and staff agreed the camping session seemed far too short. lone Class holds Reunion Mrs. Jerry Davidson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Myrick and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim PaavoU and children, and Tom Pointer. Parents who attended the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Morgan. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Halvorsen, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pettyjohn, and Mrs. Erma Morrison. The lone High School class of "62 held their ten-year re union July 2 at the lone City Park. All but three members of the class attended. The activities started In the afternoon, and later a potluck barbecue was held. The group enjoyed a decorated cake af ter dinner.
