Women to Tour North County Monday A women's tour of North Morrow County, Monday, May 15, sponsored by the home makers Advisory Committee is open to all Interested In the many developments and growth in the area. Tour will start from Board man City Hull at 10 a.m. The Wildlife Refuge and near by areas will be toured dur ing the morning. Boeing de velopments will be scheduled for the afternoon. Anyone wishing to join the group at noon for the tour of the Boeing development only, may do so. The tour will be in lieu of the two county program development meeting. Uma tilla County Advisory Com mittee members have been invited to join the Morrow County women, as have all other Umatilla county women who are interested in devel opments occuring inthearea. Guides will be Harold Kerr, Morrow County Extension Agent and Denver Crigsby project manager of Boeing. DObG HOLT, 18, ofOregon city has enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve and will enter active service Sept. 4, 1972 to attend Nuclear Tech nitions school. Upon high school graduation this spring, he will receive boot training. Doug is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack C. Holt and the grandson of Mrs. C. J.D. Bau nian of Heppner. Collins and Lisa of Heppner went to Soap Lake for the marriage of their daughter Patricia to Donald L. Ral ston. The vows were read April 22 by the Rev. Skov at the Ephrata Our Savior Lutheran Church. The bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald W. Ralston of Missoula, Mont. The church was decorated with pink and white roses and carnations. Patricia, given in marriage by her father, wore a silk shantung with lace Local Artists Exhibiting A group of Morrow County artists is displaying work in Walla Walla and in Pendle ton. A collection of their paintings will hang at the Mill Creek Art Gallery, 39 E. Main, in Walla Walla during May and June. Another col lection will be at the Equit able Savings office In Pendle ton during May. Rhea Creek Is Host Tomorrow Rhea Creek Grange will be host to all Grangers for Vis itation Night Friday, May 12, beginning with a pot-luck sup per at 6:30 p.m. Lexington will furnish dessert for the supper. The Rhea Creek de gree team will put on the 5th Degree and Boardman Grange will present the tab leaus. Any Grange wishing to bring candidates is welcome to do so. There is a contest on between the Granges to see which Grange can have the most members out to Visitation nights, with a gift to the Grange with the most at the close of the year. Lisa We The Ministers Honor The Mensches South Morrow County Min isterial Association met May 3 at the United Methodist Church. The meeting was also attended by the ministers' wives as the group was honor ing Rev. and Mrs. Rudolph Mensch who will be leaving the community at the end of May to reside in Chiliwack, British Columbia. They wefe presented with a gift. Rev. Mensch is retiring. A BOOTH at the County Fair in August was discussed and is being planned. A SWIM MING PARTY for high school youth (7th through 12th grades) was set for June 8 at Lehman Springs. If enough young people want to go to fill the Assembly of God Church bus it will be used; if not, they will travel in autos. They plan to leave town at 10:00 a.m. and to return in the evening. For going away, Patricia chose a white double knit slack outfit trimmed with black floral design and black accessories. The young couple will be at home in Soap Lake where they both are teaching. The Bridegroom graduated from the University of Idaho and has taught at Soap Lake for two years. His bride graduated from EOC and has taught at Soap Lake Junior and Senior High for three years. Women Dear Friends: I am writing in regard to the Nursing Home. 1 have been here 6 years and I have never been mistreated in any way and I love it here. The first night I was here it seemed as if all the troubles with keeping house dropped from my shoudlers and the fact I did not have to cook any more meals; I tell you I went to sleep and slept like a baby, ana I have never regretted a day since. The home is kept so clean. And when you need anything the Nurses and Aides are right there. I am so happy in here and may God bless each one. Ittn Nash is Line's brother and Mrs. Springer Is their sister. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nash returned home Sunday evening, but Mr. and Mrs. Springer went to the home of their son and daughter-in-law the Bud Springers for overnight, Monday they rode bark to Hood River wlththelr granddaughter Ginger Spring er, Salem, who also visited her parents last weekend. Lincoln Nash came home. Saturday after undergoing mijor surgery on Monday at St. Anthony's Hospital In Pen dleton. He seems to be re covering nicely but Is still pretty weak.
