Kinfolk visited Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Lowe this weekend
as a sort of Bon Voyage for
their trip to England they
will be making this spring.

Mrs. Helen McCabe of lone
announced the marriage of
her daughter, Arleta to Gary
George of Portland. The
ceremony was held April 14
at the UnitedChurchofChrist
in Beaverton with the imme
diate family in attendance.
The couple is at home in
Beaverton where Gary is em
ployed at Hanna Industries
and Arleta is a student at
Portland Community College
studying to be a medical
secretary.

She says the pastel colors
stay truer than the darker
ones. She announced the an
nual lone Garden Club Plant
Sale on April 26.
The May meeting on the 8th
will be held at the Dr. Wolff
home. There will be installa
tion of officers and the pro
gram will be on Iris.

In past years the Heppner
Soroptimist Club has
arranged a Mother's Day
mother and daughter tea for
girl graduates. This year
It was decided to have an
affair that might be more
enjoyable and perhaps more
challenging for all the senior
girls of the county and their
advisors.
