Lonerock Has New Permanent Residents LONEROCK' : Mr. and Mrs. Krvin Hopkins from Bend moved !nto their Lonerock home this week and expect to live here permanently. The Hopkins lived at Lonerock for many years while Ervin was employed by Mrs. William Morley on her cat il? ranch. Later when she i ou:,'ht a ranch in the Bend ar ea he continued being her fore man there. The Hopkins were Thanksgiv ing dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rogers and Sheron Rogers from Portland spent the weekend at her home also. Word has been received that Orval (Johnny) Phegley died at a nursing home in Portland on Nov. 12 of cancer. Burial was at Portland. He is survived by two brothers, Wesley of Joseph, and Marvin of Portland, and several nieces and nephews. Orval Phegley was born at Lonerock in 1916 and attended grade school here and at Con don. Later he moved to Portland v here he was employed.
