Garden Club Mts The Boardman Garden Club met Monday night at the home of Mm. Iloliln Bishop, with Mr Walter Wyss a en-hostess. Roll call was anwered by naming a variety of holly. In the abence of Mm. Roy Ball, president, and Mrs. Walter Hayes, vice-president. Mrs. Leo Root was in charge of the meet ing, and ojened with a devo t tonal, "They Failed the Test", taken from "The Daily Bread." In response to a letter from the Eastern Oregon Hospital and Training Center at Pendle ton a donation was voted to them for Christmas. An article was read on Woild Gardening from the Oregoii Newsletter whereby the club can receive a Citation of Merit from the Oregon State Federa tion by giving a donation t Guatemala for small fruits and berries, which Is a state proj ect. No notion was taken. Hazel Miller gave a program on flowers of the world, and told of different ones she saw on her trip to Italy In 19G9. She snld garland chrysanthemums are raised In Palestine, and all are yellow and bloom In Marsh. Mrs. Arthur Allen told about flowers In the West Indies. Mrs. Bishop read an article on "Autummn Birds." Prizes were won In a game by Mrs. Frank Marlow and Mrs. Ralph Earwood. Mrs. Allen re ceived the door prize.
