Proposals shall be addressed to the City Recorder, City Hall, Heppner, Oregon 97836. The work consists of the fol lowing: Approximately 170 feet of 12 inch and 420 feet of 4-inch water pipe relocation. Approx imately 284 feet of 8-inch sew er main relocation. Contractors may obtain copies of contract documents from the City of Heppner, upon deposit of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for each set of documents. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condit ion within fifteen (15) days after the bid opening. Bidders must be prequalified in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon. Two mornings a week, four year olds attend. Mrs. Gladys Jewell is the teacher a gain this year and anyone wish ing to enroll a youngster in kin dergarten, please contact Mrs. Raymond Reid. Mrs. Fred Green and Mrs. Grog Berg and daughter went to Goldcndale, Wn. lust Thurs day to visit with Mr. Berg who has been In the Goldcndale Hos pital. Mr. Berg was able to leave the hospital but will return for further treatment. Mrs. Berg will remain at Selah with his par ents. Pastor and Mrs. William' Mai went to Boardman Monday to attend a meeting of Village Mis sion pastors and their families for a day of fellowwship. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dyer be came grandparents for the 11th time Sept. 4 when their newest grandson was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Lyche of West Fir. The baby weighed 8 lb., 6 oz., and has been named James Troy. He joins a brother and two sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Dyer had gone to West Fir over the Labor Day weekend and Mrs. Dyer stayed until this wekend when Mr. Lyche and children Robby and Patti brought her home. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Blue went to Heppner last Wednesday where Mrs. Blue had medical care. Friendship Club Has Party The Friendship club had their regular card party last Wednes day evening in the First Grade room with Sharon Smiley as hostess. High and pinochle went to Melba Mitchell, second high to Pat McMinn, and the second pinochle to Cindi Weaser. Oth ers playing were Evie Luper, Dinah Jackson, Sue Mattison, Carol Norris, Sharon Bell, Ruth Carey, and Bonnie Campbell. Safety Meeting Held A 5 a.m. Safety meeting and breakfast was held last Thurs day morning at the Camp 5 Community Hall with Safety Representative Bill Bohlender of Pendleton as host. He represents the State Acccident Insurance Fund and the breakfast was sponsored by Eastern Oregon Logging Co. The proposal consists of drain age, grading, surfacing and pav ing a two-lane facility with two 12-foot travel lanes and 4-foot paved shoulders beginning at the Irrigon Junction east of Boardman thence south 7.5 miles to the Middle Fork of Juniper Canyon.
