Boardman Families Enjoy Many Activities By MART LEE MARLOW BOARDMAN Renee, Rick and Rena Ely, and Bryce Jack son of Seattle, Wash., visited last week at the home of the Ely children's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Ely. They all went to Portland Sunday to at tend the reunion of the Chand ler family held at Columbia Park, and then went to New-.- port to stay until Wednesday. ' Visiting Mrs. Fay Chase and daugh ters Lisa and Sharee, and Su san Tolle of Sacramento, Calif., visited last week at the home of Mrs. Chase's cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sicard. Charles A. Paul of Phoenix, Ariz., wa.s a weekend visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hen ry Gantenbein. Saturday visit ors were Gantenbein's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hoffman and son lion of Camas, Wash. Visitors Mon day and Tuesday were Mrs. Gantenbein's brother-in-law and sister, Rev. and Mrs. Henry Warber of Eltopia, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Root and daughter Jane of Waso were Saturday visitors at the home of Root's mother, Mrs. Leo Root. , Vincent John, Born Aug. 11 Mr. and Mrs. Dan Daltoso are the parents of a son, Vincent John, born Aug. 11 in the Good Shepherd Hospital in HermLston. . The baby weighed 8 lb. Grand j parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mario 'Daltoso of Walla Walla, Wash., i and Mrs. Helen Busch of Butte, Mont. Great grandparent is Siro Saoncella of Walla Walla. Grange Meeting The Women's Activity Com mittee of Greenfield Grange i met Wednesday afternoon of last week at the home of Mrs. Hazel Miller. Mrs. Rollin Bish op was a guest. In the absence of Mrs. Donald Baker, chairman, Mrs. Chub Warren, vice-chairman, was in charge of the meet- ing. Mrs. Chub Warren was hostess. High prize was won by Mrs. Don Downey, and low went to Helen Busch of Butte, Mont. Mrs. Downey and Mrs. Verne Minnich received the traveling pinochle prizes. Jim Miller of Auburn, Wash., visited from Wednesday until Sunday at the homes of his mother, Mrs. Hazel Miller, and his brothers-in-law and sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Rod Flug, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tyler and son Randy of Portland were ov ernight visitors last Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Jones, on their way home from a vacation trip to Wal lowa Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Struck- meier have returned home from a week's trip to Orangevale, Calif., visiting at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Weiher. While they were there they all took a trip to Reno, Nev., Virginia City and Lake Tahoe. The Struck meier's also visited in Walnut Creek, Calif., at the home of Mrs. Struckmeier's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robert U'Ren. Mrs. Vera Pettit, who has been making her home here with her son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Struck meier, has entered the Oregon Baptist Retirement Home In Portland. Mr. Frisch knecht lost his life in a recent helicopter accident near Mt. Vernon a couple of weeks ago. Sixteen Junior boys and girls spent four days slamming a round the Kinzua Golf Course In the annual Junior Members Tournament during the week of Aug. 9. Some very good golf was displayed by the young sters. The girls finals went to the final hole before the match was decided and the Junior Boys final match was hard fought through 21 holes before a champion was crowned.
