Judging To be Pre-Foir Event County fair events for , 4'-H members have become so many and varied that some will be held prior to fair this year. The 4-H foods, clothing and knitting contests will be Thurs day, July 22, 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Annex at the fairgrounds in Heppner. The contests ' will be considered a part of fair and premiums will be paid. State fair judging teams will be sel ected from each event The change to a pre-fair event was made primarily to allow the judging contest to be a : more educational experience for mem bers. Sally Bay, area extension agent, will be in charge of the contests assisted by 4-H leaders Corliss Boner, Beverly Doherty, and Liz Curtis.
