Rural Environ mental Assistance Program (REAP), which Is an extension of the Agricultural Conservation Program (ACP. is effective in Morrow County until Dec. 31, 1971. The goal of REAP is to im prove the quality of life for all people by preventing or abating environmental pollution, provid ing the maximum public bene fit, and conserving the land and related resources so as to as sure their continuing ability to produce the food and fiber nec essary for the maintenance of a strong, healthy people and econ omy, and to provide for, wild life, open space, landscape beau ty and outdoor recreational op portunities. The 1971 Morrow County REAP will be mailed soon to local farmers and ranchers. The County Program was developed by the County ASC Committee with thi n.isistanee of a num. ber of USDA agencies and the Community ASC committeemen. An "Investment Plan" has been developed by the County ASC Committee which outlines the priorities that will be given during the program year in ex pending these funds in the best public interest Minimum practice specifica tions are on individual practice sheets which may be obtained at the County ASCS Office.
