Important Birthday
First birthdays are important
and when the first haircut

It doubly important. Jason

first birthday cake was a tiny
one-year size topped with straw
berry Ice cream. Butch is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wil
son. Other guests for his birth
day party were Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Struthers and his aunt, Susan
Wilson; his grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Vern Wilson and his
great grandmother, "Nancy
Kautz".

The Third Eve
The eyes have it. During Na

Spring Comes
The first signs of spring are
the newly painted store fronts
on Main St. First came the
Coast-to-Coast white front with
the yellow signs. Jimmy Thorn
son matched the yellow with
his store front. Between the two
stores is Heppner's precious old
store front. Tuesday the paint
started going on it. The primer
coat looks good . . . makes it
almost look like those beauti

Ruges! Several store ouueungs
were painted last year ana more
buildings will be paintea soon.
